Specter Releases Sue-the-Prez Draft Bill

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) released a final draft of his anti-signing-statement bill this afternoon -- yes, the one that other GOP senators are already saying they won't support.

I don't understand how evidence can be presented for the acts constitutionality; by making
a law Bush is acting in a way not in agreement with the constitution; the president does
not make the laws, he may veto a law but not write it. It seems like the door is being
left open once again to legalize a highly illegal and dangerous practice.

2. Is there a "grandstander of the year" award?

Arlen would win by acclamation. If the Boston Globe hadn't printed that piece a few months ago about Smirk giving himself permission to break any law he doesn't like, we wouldn't have heard about it yet. But here comes Snarlin' Arlen to huff and puff and then not follow through.
