Presidential ignorance
After years of signing some of the stupidest legislation imaginable,
President Bush vetoes a bipartisan bill allowing strictly regulated
funding for stem cell research.
He says it would harm ethics and science, two subjects of which he's
demonstrated unrivaled ignorance.
I can appreciate someone saying that they oppose any policy which might
risk human life in any form, regardless of the lifesaving consequences.
What burns me is a man saying it, whose wars have killed 2,500 innocent
Americans, 50,000 Iraqi civilians and left countless others crippled,
based on an argument that it's justified by the greater good. (snip)

"Still, others could benefit — the will-be quads, ALS, diabetes and
Alzheimer's patients.
Given Bush's recent behavior in Europe, he might consider that last
malady. It's possibly only explanation for his performance that doesn't
involve the word “imbecile.” "
Well said!!
