1. Other...Kucinich and Dean usually speak for me
Sometimes they don't.

Dennis occasionally gets a little flaky. Dean sometimes is too convrntional.

So I guess my arc is somewhere between the two of them.

2. I speak for me
Nobody else has that right - whether politician or preacher or spouse or other self-styled authoritarian control freak.

4. On which issue?
I speak for myself but I'm often REPRESENTED by someone else who gets heard a lot more than me.

Michael Moore speaks for me on many issues, but once I heard Pat Buchannan say something I agreed with too (I've forgotten what that was though :P)

It's about time someone remembered that all of us are only as prosperous as the least of us!

8. The spokesperson for
whichever institution tells me how to think and feel.

This is a global village with 6.5+ billion voices. You can't have them all chit-chatting like their opinion means something. You need to get an organization, a think tank, government, something. How can we speak for ourselves? We're all specialized. We have highly educated and trained people to speak for us. That's their job. That's what they tell me anyway. How am I supposed to know who speaks for me? Well they tell me who speaks for me. So that's the person that speaks for me. I don't know them, never met them, but whatever they say.

10. I speak for me
and, having spent a lot of my life on the unpopular, outer fringe (gee, being smart doesn't win you friends in school much, especially now when the trend is toward anti-intellecutalism), I've had to fend for myself a LOT. Couldn't bank on getting by on popularity and buddies covering for me ...
