Equipment shortages stunt combat readiness
http://www.armytimes.com/story.php?f=1-292925-1981927.php

I want you to notice it is the leading DEMOCRAT who brings this up.Focus,people-here is one of our issues

Up to two-thirds of the U.S. Army’s combat brigades are not ready for wartime missions, largely because they are hampered by equipment shortfalls, Democratic lawmakers said Wednesday, citing unclassified documents.

In a letter to President George W. Bush, the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, Ike Skelton, said that “nearly every non-deployed combat brigade in the active Army is reporting that they are not ready” for combat. The figures, he said, represent an unacceptable risk to the nation.

2. And we keep throwing money away on missile defense
When we went to war in the first gulf war, we needed to borrow minesweepers from our European allies because we'd squandered our budget on high-tech vessels.

If we're going to be serious imperialists, we need more infantry and the equipment they use.

Problems back into a combat zone. And you make dam sure you take care of them when they come home. But Dubba and boys just don't care

4. This can't be true
General"I got my first star because my dad's friends helped me" Casey, says that everything is fine and that the troops can do the job.

Of course, it's not his ass riding in an APC that will break down in the middle of an ambush, or a tank that has a malfunctioning main gun. And I'm sure that Casey's helicopter is kept in tip top condition for his flights around Iraq trying to impress the troops.
