Poll question: Would you say that Colin Powell's reputation sunk when he joined *
Remember when there was all that talk years ago about Colin Powell running for president? You don't hear much about it anymore. I'll bet he wishes he never accepted the offer to be Sec of State.

1. Yes, But He's Got Skeletons In His Closet From The My Lai Coverup

2. Most people don't know about his role in covering up My Lai,

4. It should have been sunk, but no it didn't.
The sheeple still think Powell is a great man. Hell, the sheeple think Condoliar is great and she's still screwing up daily.

6. Had he refused to spout the WMD lies at the UN
and resigned he would have earned respect. Having done that he is disgraced forever. The RW no longer embraces him because he has been a worm about his role and the Left feel that he disgraced himself by knowingly aiding an illegal Invasion based on lies.

5. Sadly, I have to vote no. Mrs. and Mrs. John Q. Clueless have no idea
Powell helped to lie us into this war.

7. Yes, I think this was by design
All the moderate republicans like powell and Christie Whitman were made to look like total ineffective idiots. I think this was planned so that the extreme right wing of the party could take complete control.

8. No...Powell's reputation...
...had sunk as low as it could go with the cover-up of My Lai...he was (in Harry Belafonte's words) a "house nigger" long before he was given a blanket on the floor outside Junior's bedroom. As for Condi...

9. Only in the eyes of the people who never paid attention until now.
And the only reason people like Powell get top jobs is because they've got so much garbage in the closet.
