my MIL just stated that she thinks Bill Clinton is the anti-christ... |
|
oh, my. I just got home from an afternoon with my MIL. There we were in the car, riding down the street, discussing the situation in the Middle East. Suddenly, she blurts out, 'I think Bill Clinton is the anti-christ'. To which I of course, replied, 'I think Bush has a better shot at that'. She didn't like that much, and replied, 'the anti-christ will be someone very friendly and charming, and Clinton fits that description.' I just looked at her with a very perplexed look, like how very strange of you to even think this sort of thing. That pretty much ended the conversation.
I just had to share this. Periodically, she comes up with some doozies.

18. Tell your MIL that if this is the end of the age, according to the prophet |
|
Daniel, the antichrist has an association with Spain.
23 "He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
If the 10 horns are the tens kings who started the rebuilding of the Roman empire (that is, the EU), then what country was the 11th to join?
The time, times, and half a time echo that of Revelation and these Daniel passages are high-level overviews of what Revelation goes into more detail to describe.

years ago. She's not nuts, in fact, she's very intelligent. That's what gets me so frustrated! She's a life-long Repub, and according to recent stats at least, one of the few left who actually think * is doing a marvelous job, and a wonderful President!!! ok. with that thought in my head, you'll have to pardon me. All of a sudden, I have to excuse myself: :puke:

Anyone who thinks George Bush is doing a marvelous job, must have some misgivings. She's a republican, and we should make allowances for this kind of thinking. It seems once a republican makes up their mind, they don't have the ability to change it.

|
She really believes that he's one of our country's great presidents!
tonight, on NBC national news, there was a segment about how a lot of Repubs are rethinking their 2000 & 2004 votes for *, and thinking about voting Dem in November. They interviewed several people/families about their views on how the Republican party is going, and they were very disheartened with the policies and were not going to vote Repub in November. Now, those are Repubs that I can respect. At least they are thinking about the toll that their votes have had on this country and its policies, and don't want to keep going down the same path. They can see the light, as it were.
MIL, however, isn't able to take off her rose-colored glasses, to see what is really happening, nor see this regime for what it is.

It's tough for anyone, but most of the people who are having misgivings, are just completely fed up with George W. Bush being a law-breaker, and shredding the constitution. He is feeling all that power and that's a dangerous situation.
It makes one wonder what it would take to get her to take off those rose colored glasses. Bush hasn't done one thing right as PresidentIMHO. :spank: Shame on him for deceiving all of us.
