What's worse than a neocon? |
|
I say an armchair liberal. After all, who besides us is going to bring these criminals to the noose. Neoconism is a mentality. It is always present in some strength. The counter to a strong CorporoMilitaryChristofascist regime is a strong left. The Constitution will not protect us anymore baby. It's time to come out swinging.

I'll take an "armchair liberal" any day over someone who would rather watch Survivor than vote.

hurt because that's what it will take. General strikes, sit ins, disrupting business as usual in government buildings, taking over airports and blocking entrances, parking lots etc. without being destructive. That will shake them up but you have to be prepared to be tear-gassed, arrested and beaten up.
However, I say we put this off until after the election. If we don't take back Congress, then we need to do this. I'm afraid though that we are going find out the hard way is that we are living in a police state.

14. How about a self-professed "progressive" that advocates and supports |
|
the neo-con agenda? I mean, isn't that the real problem? We know, or at least claim to know, that so much of what our country has done to most of the rest of the world is nothing more than looting, killing, and subjugating entire populations so that we can live in a throw-away consumer economy. But are we willing to make the changes that will have to be made to stop it?
Hell, we won't even forgo our daily $tarbuck$ for one day to demonstrate our economic clout and resolve.
You see, we don't really want to be better, we just don't want to have to see the results.

18. One of my 'favorite' arguments regarding the illegal immigration |
|
issue is the old saw "fine, if you want to pay $5 for a head of lettuce, (insert RW lie as to why we cannot pay what something is worth, here)". If it would really cost $5 for a head of lettuce for the workers to earn a living, then so be it, a head of lettuce is worth $5.
They love that "free market" as long as they can continue to steal from somebody else.

I live in agri-land or wine country in California where the first union grape battles were fought. Grapes and wine have not gone up in price but the workers who pick them, in my area anyway, are unionized and make a decent wage, not great but better than in other areas. You see it is scarcity that makes prices go up, nothing else, and an unpicked crop will make that fruit scarce, a bad year even more. Wages have very little to do with it.

20. You are absolutely right, thus the quotation marks and identifying |

the statement as an old saw and the (insert RW lie here). Of course it's not true, as you say, but it is what they tell the sheeple to "justify" their greed.
