Oh wait the international community matters this week
It's hard to keep up on my score card. I guess this week the international community matter. Sure when it comes to the death penalty, abortion, war in Iraq, global warming, aid for Africa... Last time I check the international community wasn't over joyed for love with YOU Condoleezza Rice!

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Wednesday condemned Iran's decision to resume its nuclear program, saying that the international community is united in mistrusting the Islamic republic and its present leadership with such technology.

1. the only thing that ever matters
is what will further their psychotic agenda. what about when the international community refuses to wholeheartedly support us bombing the fuck out of iran? let's see how much they matter then.

3. I'm not so sure the international community will refuse to
support you bombing Iran. GB, France, Germany have spoken out harshly against Iran and seem to be on the side of the US this time.

I cannot understand why - unless it's the usual bribery, pressure & threats by the US government.

4. They all spoke out harshly against Iraq as well
The international community was united behind the idea that Saddam was a proble or a potential threat. Even many peace activists would comment on the problems in Iraq, and I assume many (although fewer) will also comment on the problems in Iran.

The difference is that Bush was determined on a military solution to that problem, to the exclusion of less dangerous alternatives. The big difference between the United States and world opinion was the suggested cure, not the existance of the disease.

8. Yes, true, but this time even el-Baradei has mentioned war.

I'm scared, I really am.

9. I am too.
I am mostly afraid that people aren't getting how serious this is. They aren't reading the tea leaves. By the time most people catch on to what is going on, just like with Iraq, I'm afraid it will be too late. Then the next thing you know, there's the Chimpmander in Chief standing there in a fucking flight suit while babies are getting blown up, their mothers are raped, and their dads are put on a plane to get renditioned.:nuke:

10. Yes, exactly. But this time it might toll the bell for WW III.
I'm scared as all get out. Christmas I wished my friends - for the first time ever, it sounds so pathetic, peace on earth, thinking about Iran all the time.

11. I wish there was something I could say that would make you feel better...
sadly, I just don't know anymore. I think you're right about this. And I do think people are underestimating the damage that it will do. It's just so frustrating, seeing so much more death and destruction right up ahead and not knowing what to do about it, or if there's anything you can do. One thing's for sure. We need to start protesting NOW!!! Not waiting a week before they bomb. Time to call these fuckers out on their lies before they get the chance to make them. I take it you're not from the U.S. since you referred to the U.S. in the 3rd person, but maybe you guys should start protesting too. Make it a strong worldwide effort. You know what I mean?

12. You are right about protest now and not a week before the bombs
fall. I'll start plastering my bus with slogans again - that'll be a beginning, at least for me, since I belong go no group. And maybe others will pick it up.

5. you may be right, and there does seem to be some half assed support there,
but that's just it. it seems kind of half-assed to me. anti-american sentiment throughout the world is just too high. and we have no credibility. even if iran is the big flying monkey that they are trying to make it out to be, there is a serious credibility issue there where it regards this cabal. of course everything remains to be seen, and you do have a good point about the bribery, pressure, and threats.

6. Just imagine
If we do bomb Iran. It seems to me a majority of the Iraqi population at the moment is kinda keen on Iran. It's hard to imagine bombings in Iran being good to end violence in Iraq.
