Kudos to Oprah for taking this on. I would watch it if I wasn't at work.

1. "I would watch it if I wasn't at work."
 Sorry, that was too perfect, even if it wasn't meant as a joke.

3. It was meant to be literal/funny.
And, at $12 an hour, I'm not making it, either. I can't imagine what it would be like on $5. :scared:

2. I've seen a few
Book's of the Month shows on cspan II, that deal with writers delving into the minimum wage fiasco. Those programs, were very enlightening...I hope Oprah's is also of the same vein, having people go undercover to see how much work/stress, people have to endure for minimum wage...

6. They're full of crap
Notice they're never concerned that giving themselves huge salary increases every year will hurt our economy?

7. Okay, did anybody see this?
I had other priorities.

Like working at my $12-an-hour job which *barely* supports my frugal, single lifestyle (and I am not exaggerating. I live in a 450sq ft apartment, drive a crap car (rarely), walk to work, don't eat much meat, don't go out anymore, have no kids...).
