Tickling the ivories while the mideast burns.
For me, Rice playing the piano in Malaysia while bombs fall on Lebanon, while Iraq continues its zombie like shambles to utter destruction, neatly sums up our foreign policy.

The insane slant of our government toward Israel at the expense of thousands of lives and the death of a nation, is a direct indictment of our State Department and foreign policy.

A true ally of Israel would have immediately pressured that country not to launch a war against Lebanon. A true ally would have jumped into the fray with a series of top level meetings with Israeli leadership. A true ally would have threatened to vocally condemn Israel if she launched the type of assault that took place, and threatened to withold aid and weapons.

We're going to pay for our blind allegiance to Israel for a long time.

1. 9/11 was in large part due to our blind one-sided allegiance to
Israel.

5. I don't buy that.
And anyone who understands how bin Laden became radicalized wouldn't either. The US has a long history, aside from its support for Israel, of undermining Arab countries: In 1953 we overthrew the democratically elected leader of Iran, for example. Our support for Arab despots has much more to do with 9/11 than our support for Israel. And if you'll recall during the nineties and in Carter's years the US was being an honest broker.

11. I agree, it wasn't JUST our blind one-sided support...but that was
certainly a large part of it.

4. Does seem to be a common theme for the Nero administration.
Destruction and devastation makes them want to bust out a tune.

9. They always do photo ops
of themselves eating and playing music whenever there's a disaster. They just love to celebrate death and destruction I suppose.

Some of us "elite" white boys got rhythm, too. Remember how I strummed my new guitar while Hurricane Katrina transhed the Gulf Coast of America? And how I farted around reading "My Pet Goat" after being told for the second time that America was under attack on 9/11.

Let's take it from the top...
