Damn, it's so easy to bomb from the air and ships, and spray bio
weapons on the ground or bulldoze houses with unarmed people inside. But it's a whole different ball game when fighting the enemy on firly equal terms man to man. That's what the US found out in Viet Nam and Iraq and what Israel is finding out in Lebanon. When people have little to lose and are not afraid of death, they make a different kind of enemy. The superior powers may indeed win the war but they will never win the peace.

2. Bullies always act this way. No consequences for them.
That is why repukes are so hawkish - they never suffer for their actions.

Personally, the most disappointing part of the watching the Israeli war against Lebanon is the obvious memory-lapse - less than 100 years ago, they were the victims of the same kind of hatred and genocide. Now, they perpetrate it on another, less-powerful group.

As I am ashamed to be American, I am ashamed to be Jewish.

5. Thanks for sharing
I feel ashamed to be an American citizen, although I'm not Jewish.
In fact, I feel ashamed to be a human being and watch this devastation and slaughter.
I work with children and consider them to be the most precious beings.
I find NOTHING more repulsive than victimizing children.

I can sense it must be very hard to be an aware Jewish person and have the recognition that you do.

We can only hope that all sane citizens of the world unite and stop this madness.

Shalom.

As I am ashamed to be American, I am ashamed to be Jewish.

I hope you recover on both points

4. Nobody fights man-to-man.
The history of warfare has always been about getting a technical advantage. The Late Western Roman Empire could have been sustained for an extra few hundred years by early "mechanization" to make up for the manpower shortages against the "Barbarian" Tribes.

And I think you are incorrect about your assessment of Vietnam and Iraq. The problem wasn't US "Fighters" being outclassed man to man, the US people and the service members knew it was an immoral and wrong war. The US Center of Gravity then, just like today in Iraq, was lack of trust in lying Governmental offifials and low tolerance for an immoral war.

This is why the BushCo Regime has made sure as little information as possible is disseminated to the populace, and why MSM and Government officials always blast the airwaves with how great things are going in Iraq!

Hussah! Victory is Right around the Corner! It's too bad we are in a circular room...

6. Personally
I think that stepping on a school bus wrapped in TNT and nails is the way to fight. I mean, kill all the kids and there is no one to replace the army types.

9. Yup
Just a little sarcasm....

I mean if the IDF is being so brutal, bombing school busses and stores is mundane. A personally carried explosive devise (PCED) is not as destructive as a 8" howitzer shell. Much more contained and easily aimed. Once inside a crowded building, closing the door should ensure that damage outside is limited, same with a bus.

Plus, with the increase in population, I bet it is easier to replace a Personally carried explosive devise carrier (PCEDC) now know as a pedic, than buying a round from the world arms market. No paper work, and easy and fun to make.
