Stars and Stripes Iraq map has a base called Camp Bushmaster!
There's also base's named Camp Twin Towers, Camp Babylon, Camp Warhorse and Camp Manhattan. No wonder so many people still believe iraq had something to do with September 11th. And no wonder the Iraqi's want us gone with a camp blatantly named Camp Bushmaster! Check it out. The maps halfway down on the left hand side of the Stars and Stripes mainpage in PDF format. http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=38961

6. Logically speaking though. Does it make any sense to name a
camp in Iraq "Camp Bushmaster", and put it on an armed forces map, when you are "supposedly trying " to win hearts and minds? In light of the fact that your leaders name is Bush. He invaded the country and the word "master" is associated with it. Does anyone here seriously think Iraqi's are thinking it's named after a rifle or a snake? To me this is similar to when they left the ammo dumps ungaurded. Just one more utterly stupid military blunder among many. It shows our arrogance and lack of thought in military planning.

3. I think he is a big backer of Bush from Maine who makes guns,.
I am willing to think people who live by the gun named it after that gun. The DOD is in the business of guns and blowing up stuff.

5. today's nature sound-bite
:hi:
Bushmaster is also the name of a very poisonous snake, a pit viper native
to tropical western hemisphere, can grow to 12 ft. long! Think the rifle is
named after this guy.

7. Bushmaster is a breed of snake.
And is also a brand of rifles. I somehow think it has nothing to do with the President's last name.
