Mr. Vice President: the bombs are flying. Hallelujah
If you are not familiar with that line, it is from the movie, "The Dead Zone".

It was on television last night.

I could not help but note how Greg Stillson, the character in the movie running for president by way of the Senate, was so eerily similar to George W. Bush: a devious, contemptible man who "worked the rubes", ruthlessly destroyed his opposition, and had a serious hard on for war.

Luckily, Johnny Smith was able to see the future, and derailed Stillson's campaign.

Too bad we don't have a present day Johnny Smith. But, to be honest, I'm scared shitless to peek into the future.

4. I first read it
some short time after it came out. Our new president was Ronald Reagan. I wondered at the time if Stephan King was prescient, it was applicable then as well. Scared the hell out of me reading it.
