1. Yes it's very good as well
It is operated by Daniel Brandt and it is an index of 1,000s of important books which it cross links with names. It's a very valuable service to find out where a name is used in non-fiction literature. You can order the pages as well where a certain name is mentioned.

It is made by scanning the books and extracting the names and indexing them, so there are some mistake because the scanning, but it is highly accurate.
