Rice urges hard decisions for Mid East peace

United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says she and President George W Bush are personally committed to the renewed push for peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

During a whirlwind visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories, Dr Rice called for an effective fight against terrorism.

She also urged Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to continue to take the hard decisions that will lead to peace in the Middle East.
