Bush to press: The terrorists make you ask these questions
Toward the end of Bush's incoherent rambling about dark, scary ideologues (on the other side), David Gregory pressed him for an answer to the question that he'd asked. Preznit Son of Barbara let his own passive aggression get the better of him.

QUESTION: But I asked about the loss of American influence, and are you worried about that?

BUSH: Well, we went to the G-8 and worked with our allies and got a remarkable statement on what took place. We're working to get a United Nations resolution on Iran. We're working to have a Palestinian state.

But the reason why you asked the question is because terrorists are trying to stop that progress. And we'll ultimately prevail, because their -- they have -- their ideology is so dark and so dismal that when people really think about it, it'll be rejected.

BUSH: They just got a different tool to use than we do: They kill innocent lives to achieve objectives. That's what they do. And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other. I mean, they're able to kind of say to people: Don't come and bother us, because we will kill you.

This exchange begins at 4:40 in the video at this link-

You can hear his anger. His contempt at being challenged led him to accuse an American reporter of being a tool of terrorists. -At a nationally televised event. Has the press noticed that yet?

Earlier in the transcript he cuts loose with one of his more generally dismissive digs:

You know, if I hold a press conference on Tuesday, I'll be able to answer that better. But since I probably won't be, read your newspaper.

That part isn't on the clip -I wonder if they laughed politely like they usually do. He's so ready to declare war on the press. It's simmering just below the surface, and now he's lining them up with Terrorists.

2. Why didn't he just have the reporter drug outside and shot?
That would send a signal that W is serious about freedom of the press as it relates to terraists.

5. He tries his one trick pony show and no one is listening anymore.
911911911911911911911911911...no one believe in him anymore. OBL? Not important enough for the CIA and won't let the FBI touch it. 5 years later everyone hates him for the fakeness.

11. Why the hell didn't Gregory call him on this?
And they're good. They get on the TV screens and they get people to ask questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other.

Gregory SHOULD have said something like: "Hey, wait a minute. Are you saying that terrorists got me to ask that question? If so, I want an apology. Right now."

12. I don't think he can right in the presser, but after? I'd be blasting it.

Have they even picked up on it? I'm afraid it'll be just one more thing we noticed that never gets its due. It seems really significant to me for the president to assert that any questioning of him is done in the service of his enemies.

14. "questions about, well, you know, this, that or the other.
Questions are dangerous. They may lead to the truth, like is the US an Imperialist Nation
attempting to force other nations to accept US Multi-National Corps' domination?
