"Condi" or "Secretary of State"
How in the world is it possible to degrade her position in this way. The world needs formal facts, not buddies send by this cowboy!

I'm German, and I cannot handle this very well.
She is send by the USA for the most important way to do diplomatic deals, to SAVE LIVES.

How can he put her "down" by title her Condy??? This is not a family affair ---- it's world politics

Does anybody try to imagine, how Madelaine Albright feels right now???

PLEASE don't replay by saying things like him and her and a sexual relationship, that's too low for me and I don't believe it anyway!!!

Please answer serious.

2. I agree that Bush* referring to the Secretary of State as "Condi"
is disrespectful to the office and misogynistic. On the other hand, I do not believe Condoleeza Rice is any more qualified or deserving of holding the office of Secretary of State than Bush* is to be President. Bush* is a narcissist and an insecure dolt. He can not act respectful of others for fear of diminishing his own self-importance.

3. you are so right
Bush has a very serious personality problem.

You could see it today in the news conference with Tony Blair.

Bush said things, makes you feel ashamed. He is so uneducated and doesn't understand the world-politics.

What a shame, that under his "regime" the reputation from the USA is so deep down, that no country in the world will line up with her, to help.

It will take centuries to build up the good reputation again, I doubt, it will ever happen again.
Bush damaged the reputation of the USA maybe forever.

4. * is so incredibly clueless and clumsily arrogant
that he doesn't grasp the import of the moment. He is ever the goofy good ol' boy and he deals with extremely critical foreign policy issues like he deals with everything else, in an obscenely casual, flippant, "Yo, Blair!", talking with his mouth full kind of way.

Thus, Condi and not Secretary of State Rice. Besides, the title makes her sound too important, and no one is important but Himself.

6. She's his "buddy...his gal-pal.. his office-wife"
HE's the problem. She's apparently okay with it or she would have told him on DAY one of his presidency.. "No more Condi".. She's serving at his "pleasure", so he gets to be the same big goof-off he ever was..

7. Women in power are routinely called by the first name
Edited on Sat Jul-29-06 01:35 AM by Freedom_Aflaim
Men in power are called by the last name.

Just ask Hillary.

Doesnt really make it right though.

Or if their last name is used, its only in conjuction with their first name. You rarely heard of Janet Reno or Sandra Day O'connor refered to as just Reno or O'Connor. However the male justices are routinely referred to by last name only.

8. Bush has no respect for anyone...INCLUDING himself.
He insists on being addressed at all times as Mr. President...Sir isn't good enough.
He bestows 'cute nicknames' on people to emphasize his superior postition.
He completely ignores proper honorifics...and I'm going to make a bet that this is by choice. The man is surrounded with handlers who have some grasp of etiquette.
I wonder if anyone at the G8 addressed him as "Chimpy George"...

9. We are being held hostage by a government we didn't want.
I cringe everytime I see any one of them doing damage on the world stage. It would be laughable if there wasn't so much blood spilled for their buffoonery.

I really hope there is an end to this soon and that these criminals have their day in court so we can lock them up permanently.

10. Elf - She, in my opinion is totally incompetant. She lied. She
perpetuated the myth and lied that Saddam could kill us all within 45 minutes with a mushroom cloud. She is evil. Also, she had warning "Saddam to attack US" and did NOTHING. She said they knew there would be a highjacking but no one knew that they would fly a plane into a building. Fine. Sure. BUT - she did absolutely NOTHING about a "regular" highjacking. I think that if she had secured the airports for a "regular" highjacking those Al Qaida would have NEVER gotten on the planes and thus never flew them into the buildings. And thus no 9-11.

She is a liar and a mass murderer. Calling her "Condy" is giving her too much credit.

12. LOL! Good one!
I think in George Bush's world, being acknowledged as one of his intimate friends is much more prestigious than being Secretary of State of the United States of America.
