Certain traits are needed to be a good Republican politician. Whether or not you really have these traits doesn't matter, as long as fellow Republicans think you do.

Here are a dozen loves and hates that are required.

Must Love: Fetuses -- Stem Cells -- Greed -- Hypocrisy -- Lying -- Great Leader -- Capital Punishment -- Stealing Elections -- War -- War Profiteers -- Scalia/Thomas/Alito -- Lemmings.

Must Hate: Democrats -- Taxes -- The Middle Class -- The Poor -- Immigrants -- Minorities -- Cindy Sheehan -- Justice -- Gays -- Abortion -- Abortionists -- The Constitution.

4. From What I See...

Republicans don't officially hate ANYTHING.

They just love the shit out of things.

But, honestly, I don't know. This administration and the Congress that supports him is full of such adamant right-wingers that Ronald Reagan seems reasonable and sane to me right now.

I wish I could figure out a way to marginalize people like Sam Brownback and turn them into the insignificant extremists that they are. Instead, the extremists are running the government.

But I would take Eisenhower back in a minute!
