Faux invites Shrub to accept fundie/Crusader tapestry from Afghanistan

This was the execrable Faux & Friends. No, I don't watch that crap AT ALL on weekdays, but Saturday dozing mornings it's either samurai movies with subtitles that require actual WATCHING, or... (let's quit this digression.)

So I had my back to the Faux screen. One of the Faux vixens was hosting a soldier back from Afghanistan. He had an unidentifiable regional dialect, some definitely ODD inflections and accentuation. He said that when it was known he was coming home, an old Afghan(sp?) man, with tears in his eyes, begged him to bring back this rug, possibly to give to Shrub.

The Fauxster started describing it and said it was up on the screen. The more she described, the more I chose not to turn around to look. She said, "It starts up in the corner, with the name of George W. (Shrub). Then there's Christ with the stigmata. Then below Him is George W. (Shrub)... "

The soldier said something about the "profound sym-BALL-ism." The Fauxster said, almost as if she was even embarrassed if THAT were possible, "So there you have it. The White House is free to call us."

I didn't know what words to use---incredible. Predictable. Disgustingly incredibly predictable.

FAUX or something equally squalid on TV? Why pollute your mind with this garbage? I haven't watched ANY TV in more than 20 years, and I haven't missed a thing. If it upsets you, get rid of it.
