1. They prefer it to gun murders like the one in the Northwest today
or was it yesterday? Either way, when a mass murderer uses a gun, it makes it tougher for the Republicans' buddies in the NRA to forward their agenda.

2. This is inevitable...

It will happen. I have no doubt. These terrorists will find their way over here and cause untold devastation.

I remember, after 9-11, I was posting another board. Someone posted an article about Al Queda training. The article discussed how part of Al Queda training, was learning how to conduct warfare in American cities. They were being trained to take over small cities--how to cut out power, take over police departments, raid homes---and wage urban warfare in our small and mid-sized cities. I will never forget that article. There was huge discussion about this on the board.

I was surprised the media didn't elaborate further on this. I haven't heard further about this topic since this article.

We've inflamed so many in the world. We've always had enemies, but Bush routinely pokes the hornets' nest with a stick. It's only a matter of time before this contained enemy lashes back and attacks us at home using ground war tactics.

In fact, this is the theme in their latest audio/video tapes. They're saying that they're taking the fight "everywhere."

3. It would actually be perfect for them.
It wouldn't be such a big thing that the dems could easily get away with accusing them of incompetence on keeping us safe, but it would be enough to fan the flames of fear & they could go to the next phase of The Oppression.

I hate these fuckers.

You would think that Bush couldn't possibly be hoping for suicide bombers in America, but then again, he was only to glad to allow the cycle of Israeli-Palestinian violence to spin out of control in 2001. It had got started in Sept 2000, but all through the Spring and Summer of 2000 it was allowed to rage on: Israel using tanks and bullets on stone throwing demonstrators, assassinating Al-Fatah and Hamas officers with US supplied antitank missiles, Al-Aqsa suicide bombers blowing up themselves and unsuspecting Israelis. The rounds of IDF assassination by helicopter or carbomb were especially alarming to me (they heralded the end of limits, which is a game 2 can play). I remember hearing of yet another example of Sharon assassinating a PLO officer (and probably half a dozen bystanders) while driving in rush hour traffic, and it hit me: This shit is going to come HERE. What is Bush thinking? That we're immune, and not involved? It can come here so easily--it will come here. Why does he let it spin out of control like this?

You would think that Bush can't be hoping for violence of that sort to spill over into America--it's not something a sane person would wish for--but he's invited it before. And didn't he use it to benefit himself and his radical movement! 9-11 was the best thing that's ever happened to him.
Maybe he would hope for more violence for the same motive: widespread fear licensing his power grabs, solidifying a One Party State and a war-based society/economy. Maybe he would make decisions calculated to bring that wish about--he does seem to be abnormal in that way. You can't explain or anticipate much of what Bush does using the values or psychology of a normal American.

6. He wants them elsewhere, with a ready supply of claimed 'foiled plots'
in the USA, so that he looks as if he's doing something. It doesn't matter if the arrest are false, and the victims of the false arrests have done nothing more than film Disneyworld - he just needs some headlines to keep Republican supporters scared.
