I believe he said something along the lines of "Democrats who distrust the president need to understand that he will be in office for three more years and that to criticize him regarding the war in Iraq undermines his credibility, and that those who criticize him do so at their own peril."

He really did say that. And yet he had absolutely NO problem with tearing Clinton apart for a blow job in the WH. Guess not enough people died in that case to suit him.
