Went to a show last night, the band had a cardboard Bush cutout
I was in Hartford CT last night watching a friend of mines band called Sugarfist perform. They had a big cardboard cutout of Bush with a knife thru his mellon. They referenced the wars and Bush in some songs too. At one point they had this part where the singer said the war in Afghanistan and the war in Iraq are brought to you by NBC, and George Bush.

Then they took a Lieberman sign and held it up while ranting about him and then threw it on the ground and stomped it. The crowd grabbed it and ripped it to shreds. They also had Ned Lamont campaign stuff all over the place.

I was so surprised to see all of that, I couldn't believe it. I thought I was pretty much the only one with all these really strong opinions of whats going on. Every time I talk about politics or the war most friends and family just kinda go "oh boy here we go". So anyways it was fun. Like I said the band is Sugarfist, they are crazy circus prog rock. They have a website I'm sure a search will bring it up if you want to check it out.

1. They're going to get a visit for that cutout methinks
then again if they are "disappeared" it would probably help record sales. Sorry, I joke to stave off the madness of the world.

2. One of the great things about it all is
that my friend that booked the show for the bar is an Iraq war veteran that just came back from 18 months in Iraq this winter. He worked the sound board too. He didn't object. He looked like he was having one hell of a time actually.
