Rumors Resurface -- Rumsfeld, McClellan, and Card to Ditch Bush

A major staff shake-up is hastily evolving for our beloved Bush administration, according to the subscription-only US News Bulletin (a joint effort between US News and World Report and Bulletin News).
First, recall that back in the Fall of 2005, there was talk that several administration members were flirting with the idea of abandoning that sinking ship.

...

To boot, Bush's approval ratings were approaching Nixon lows. Because of that, the three amigos held fast to Bush's buckles.

Now, however, Bush's popularity has rebounded dramatically (to a pulse-pounding 41% approval (gong!)) and the White House has essentially secured victory on Alito.

With this auratic renewal comes word from "A Bush insider" that "the feeling has changed and it's not like if left it would look like they're running away."

1. "rebounded dramatically?" some polls including Zlogby
have him still in the 30's.

2. I'd still be careful. During the campaigns, rumors like this would fly
about McCain, then Tommy Franks, then Schwarzkopf.

The net result was that after the rumor spread a few days later there would be a TON MORE MEDIA at an official endorsement ceremony with rumored Repub praising the chimp as a demi-god.

3. "Ditch Bush"?
Sounded like a palace coup there for a minute.

4. Can you just tell us what it says specifically about Rumsfeld, McClellan
and Card, for the gossip value? We're keeping score here on the indictables. And I don't want to subscribe to any US News & World Report "brain food" (as they say at their site).

The entire purpose of this article may be to promulgate "buzz" that Bush's fortunes are improving. He's been at 40% or below pretty much ever since his buds at Diebold and ES&S arranged his re-installation. Only Gallup says otherwise, and they are always an outlier (way off base), weighted toward fascism, Republicans and Bush (and THEY have him at measly 48%).

Of the three, Rumfeld is the most interesting (as a rumored disserter), because I think he is the mastermind behind every crime they have committed, from the Air Force/NORAD stand-down on 9/11, to the Plame outing, and maybe even the murder of David Kelly. And he is directly responsible for the slaughter of tens of thousands of innocent people in Iraq, and the torture of many others. A man with ghoul fangs dripping with blood and the entrails of children, beneath those opaque spectacles. I call him "the Lurker." If we have a "Hitler" among this crew, it's him. If they have plans for a more permanent type junta, he sees himself at the top of it. He ain't going anywhere, is what I'm saying. He needs the current junta's legal protection, for the moment. And there are so many people in the military and intelligence communities who hate his guts (--is my read on things), where's he going to hide?
