Remember the days of the Tax and Spend Democrats?

At least when we were in control, we tried to make sure that we paid for our programs and projects. There was oversight and accountability. We even balanced the budget and ended up with a surplus.

Then BushCo moved into the WH and began to systematically bankrupt the country.

With the Repugs in control of Congress, there is no spending bill or request from the WH and DOD that isn't big enough. Yet, with all this spending we have little to show for it. The Repugs are like frat boys gone wild with mommie's credit card. They don't even care if the contractors fulfill the terms of their agreements. They have no problem with Halliburton and KBR billing us billions of dollars and delivery nothing in return. That's why Bush's friends love him so much. It must be nice to live off fat government contracts and not have to worry about upholding your end of the agreement. All you have to do is funnel some of that money back to your friends campaign. Kind of like a backward version of Amway.

So after 6 years of BushCo all I can say is 'where has all the money gone?'

As of July 25th, 2006, the total U.S. government debt was $8.419923 trillion.

The waste and spend republicans blew it all away.

The Dems may have been spenders but unlike the RW they tried to pay as they go.

The current RW mentality thinks they don't have to pay the tab for anything.

They have no shame.
