Why Does Anyone Think Hillary Will Be The Democrat's Nominee? |
|
I see it in newspapers all the time, this or that article suggesting that McCain is the clear choice of the Republican's and Hillary Clinton the clear choice of Democrats.
As far as I've been able to see there are very few Democrats who would support any bid by Hillary for President. About the best sign of support I've seen for her is that a good number of people say they would support her as the nominee but would not support her in the primaries. Well? If she can't make it through the primaries because of lack of support how in hell does any newspaper presume she will end up the front runner?
Am I missing something here?

2. Shhhhhh! The Freepers will hear you. |
|
It's fun watching them squawk about the dangers of "Hitlery" as Prez.
Of course she won't be the Dem nominee, but there's no need to spoil a good show.

Bill
Corporate money and influence
Bill
The Republicans want to run against her
Bill
A largely uninformed electorate combined with high name recognition
Bill
The media wants the muck-fight her campaign agains the Republicans would turn out to be for their ratings
Bill
The DLC is pushing her pretty hard
Bill
And, did I mention $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ?
And, oh... Bill.
But, I don't think she will ever be elected if we are dumb enough to nominate her.

7. It only takes one thing to win a primary |
|
and that is getting most of the votes. If she wins it is because misinformed Democrats think she is the best choice.

:sarcasm: For some reason, the Democrats always allow the Republicans and the media to choose our candidate.

5. Well, the media would sure like everyone to think so, wouldn't they? |
|
Yeah. The same people who think Lance Bass's gay-ness is the most important global story happening right now.
They'll keep flogging it, but it's not gonna happen.

6. The Corporate Media want her so bad they can taste it. |
|
Then it'll be 24-7 Pillory Hillary.
Th main advantage to running her is she's pro-war & pro-Israel, so those issues will never get raised in the campaign, and therefore will be pretty much kept out of public consciousness (they hope/dream/delude themselves).

8. Wasn't Dean supposed to be a shoe-in for the nomination at one point |
|
in 2004?
Kerry wasn't even on the radar until after Iowa.
The polls now mean less than nothing.
But it is fun to speculate!

11. Because She's Raised $60 Million From The Rich? |
|
I believe that Ms. Clinton has raised $60 million since becoming Senator, more than any othr member of Congress. The Rich have clearly bet that she's the most effective person to forward their agenda(s), and they'll follow up by clearing the way for her. And we won't do anything about it, because we're sheeple. And she'll bring the same startegies to the presidency that she successfully used as a director of Wal-Mart for all of those years.
Capisci?

13. the way I see it .... |

Is every election from now on will be bought and paid for, probably with all of those record profits, from big oil. I feel sick when I think of that. I really worked hard to get people registered to vote, and to think the elections are a farse, really bums me out too:(

Polls so far indicate Hil's the front runner & as far as I can tell the powers that be at the DLC want her as well.........as much as you don't see her as front runner here at DU, just remember we here don't represent the mainstream of the Democratic Party. People here at DU are generally much further left than the millions of Democrats across America.
