CNN doesn't want to show the Horror in Qana |

complete with the dead children. BBC is showing everything. I just watched Lebanon's Minister of Social Affairs. She says she has joined the position of the Speaker of the House - immediate cease fire. When asked about the anger in Beirut, she said it was justified - this slaughter was unforgivable. She also said the government has no way of stopping the anger.

4. Then how can they consider CNN to be a news station.. |
|
if they don't show the news. Americans seem to be some of the least informed people in the world. What CNN is doing is censoring news because they have an agenda.

5. C-Span is showing the LBN footage |
|
I'm watching Washington Journal, and they have shown a couple of brief segments of the footage from Lebanese Broadcast Network (LBN). My TV reception is not good with C-Span, but I can tell that there are many scenes of bodies being carried away on stretchers.

6. Pretty sad how sensored they keep our programs... like we |
|
haven't all seen and produced the most violent films in Hollywood. Maybe real life is just too much? I bet if Americans saw the real travesty, there would be an outcry.

A majority of the American public truly DOESN'T GIVE A CRAP, malaise. They've been watching the slaughter in Iraq for years and do you see anyone beating down the doors of Congress? How many leaders IN OUR OWN PARTY have given the slaughter in Lebanon their big ol' stamp of approval and made public condemnations of anyone who didn't fall in line? Why aren't we discussing THAT aspect of this whole shameless affair, even on DU?
Maybe in other countries citizens WOULD be out on the streets. Not here. It is our own country which is behind this whole bloody mess, but as long as Mom and Pop can load their 3+ kids into their big-ass SUV and head off to Wally World after church, they don't give a flying furk. We're up to our necks in Iraqi and American blood and if that didn't get people into the streets this won't, either.

22. BUT its a chicken/egg thing. As long as the media censors the news |
|
then people have no reason to care about sanitized information. Both are to blame, but the only one in this situation with the power to change it is the media. If they started reporting responsibily, it would go a long way towards making people care again.

20. CNN-American Style is out right lying |
|
Tony (dumb as a box of Rocks) just said that Condi cancelled her meeting with Lebanese President. That is not what happened. For those of us who were watching CNN International early this morning, 4:00am, it was Lebanon who told Condi that she was no longer welcomed in light of the Israeli War Crimes that were committed on their citizens.
It is unbelievable the difference in the coverage. But the whole rest of the world is getting the uncensored news and America (Dumfukistan) is getting the cleaned up version.

They were disgusting in their blatant justification of this bombing. Then they criticized the Arab media for showing images of the dead and wounded.
