That was the age of one baby killed in Qana.

One Day Old.

This baby drew a breath.

She saw her mother, perhaps she was able to suckle her mother's breast.

She may have been warm enough because her mother held her close during the bombing.

Then she was killed by a missle that I helped pay for.

Fast forward here to the beginning of the 21st century, and our species has reversed that, with most casualties of war now coming overwhelmingly from the civilian population. 26. That's just amazing - God saves the zygotes

while having somewhat less mercy on the newborn. I remember having this same sick feeling buring the Yugoslav wars. The atrocities there, particularly upon pregnant and young mothers, were even more horrific.
