ONE DAY OLD and then she died. |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-30-06 09:42 AM by burythehatchet
That was the age of one baby killed in Qana.
One Day Old.
This baby drew a breath.
She saw her mother, perhaps she was able to suckle her mother's breast.
She may have been warm enough because her mother held her close during the bombing.
Then she was killed by a missle that I helped pay for.
Damn me to hell.

Just think how much better life could be. But then there are Republicans to put an end to that type of thinking.

3. We'll all be living in the hell the neocons create before long |

It's just that some people are living in it already while the rest of us watch in dread for what's coming next, because it certainly is.

4. Isn't it funny how we complain about our tax dollars killing innocents |
|
and we are called radicals. Their biggest complaint about the spending of our tax dollars is that some of it might go to help some poor people, and they are called reasonable. The world is insane.

15. I remember during those hideous 04 pResidential debates |
|
I think it was the last one where some very young woman stood up and asked the freakn in chief about abortion and said she did not want HER tax dollars going to kill babies - miracle my tv made it through that one - as I WAS SCREAMING I don't want my tax dollars going to kill Iraqi babies.
I am so sick of ALL of this I could vomit blood - we are doomed.

8. We all have blood on our hands thanks to our incompetent (non)leaders |
|
Another post said it well:
There is something fundamentally wrong with a war where there are more dead children than dead soldiers.
There really are no words to express how angry I feel right now. There are no excuses, no justifications for it - any of it, by anyone, against anyone. At the beginning of the 20th century, casualties in war were overwhelmingly amongst the military combatants themselves; civilian casualties made up a very small number. Fast forward here to the beginning of the 21st century, and our species has reversed that, with most casualties of war now coming overwhelmingly from the civilian population. The warriors are ensuring their own survival at the expense of the people they ostensibly are protecting or freeing or whatever their excuse happens to be at the time.

18. Last train to Nuremberg! |
|
Last train to Nuremberg! Last train to Nuremberg! Last train to Nuremberg! All on board!
Do I see Lieutenant Calley? Do I see Captain Medina? Do I see Gen'ral Koster and all his crew? Do I see President Nixon? Do I see both houses of Congress? Do I see the voters, me and you?
Who held the rifle? Who gave the orders? Who planned the campaign to lay waste the land? Who manufactured the bullet? Who paid the taxes? Tell me, is that blood upon my hands?
If five hundred thousand mothers went to Washington And said, "Bring all of our boys home without delay!" Would the man they came to see, say he was too busy? Would he say he had to watch a football game?

aborted baby over the city of Cleveland, Ohio to protest abortion.
Too bad progressives don't fly the broke body of this baby over the White House while Bush and Dr. Rice ae there. :sarcasm:

while having somewhat less mercy on the newborn. I remember having this same sick feeling buring the Yugoslav wars. The atrocities there, particularly upon pregnant and young mothers, were even more horrific.
