Need evidence to refute RW meme of liberal media
On another bulletin board, a RW'er is using these sources as evidence "the media is liberal": "Biased" By Bernard Goldberg, "Weapons of Mass Distortion" By L. Brent Bozell, www.honestreporting.com, and www.ratherbiased.com. I'm sure this is a ton of evidence that the current corporate media is not liberally biased, in general. Any good sources I can use ? Thanks for your time in advance.

A good, easy one is Media Matters for America. Also, you may want to check out Eric Alterman's book What Liberal Media.

4. Walk into a Borders Bookstore.
In at least the ones I go to, the prime locations right by the door are PACKED with RW manifestos. Amazingly enough, they still don't sell. A few rows back, you find people checking out the less promimently displayed LW manifestos.

Both families of books exist. One gets better positioning.

5. Ooooo, I am so glad you asked!
Deliver up a little meal of facts prepared by the late great Steve Kangas. Serve it cold.

6. Have you ever been to
one of those sites that track "liberal bias"? It's hilarious. The one I accidently ran into was really desperate. The one article I read was about how Kerry did pretty good in the debates. Not praising him, but he did well.
That's their liberal bias.

11. The arguments are pathetic. I once heard Larry Elder say
he'd done a Nexus search for the phrases "hardline conservative" and "hardline liberal". Unsurprisingly, "hardline liberal" was almost nonexistant and this, said Elder, was proof of liberal bias.

media has a liberal bias while 15% say it has a conservative bias. I've heard talk of liberal bias thousands of times but I've never once heard a discussion of conservative bias on MSM. If all was fair, there should be at least one claim of conservative bias for every three claims of liberal bias. Ask your friend it the media is so biased liberal, why do you never hear about conservative bias?

14. How did it go?
Right wingers think their ideologies are self-justifying. Their political belief is a religion to them, not to be corrupted by logic, however strongly and obviously it is presented to them. Is this a pretty accurate description of how it went?

16. i ask, name one time something positive was said about democrats
as a whole or any individual democrat. one time when media presented a positive picture of the democrats.

even with showing a little of what bushco have done, seeing they are in power during campaign they would talk about him with adjectives like good christian man, straight shooter, honest, family values, party of morality. but there is not a time when you hear anything positive about democratic party or any democrat individually or kerry during hte election. not once
