they had a special yesterday. showed how lebanon had civil war, etc. but the thing that really got me was Hizbollah's unprovoked attack on the US marine barracks in 1983. these guys were there as peacekeepers. the guards were'nt even armed. i was so upset i was shaking.

i have a vague memory of back when it happened, but i guess i was so absorbed by my job and school that i didn't pay too much attention back then.

i believe they are going to repeat it today. If they do it will be 8 pm eastern.

i suggest that everyone watch it.

I don't remember it at all, but I didn't really watch the news at 11 years old.

I still can't believe how Casper Weinberger didn't want to retaliate. We had the Hezbollah camp in our sights and were ready to strike. What a horrible miscalculation.
