"Make me stone." ...River
from the movie "Serenity" after watching a massacre. How many more massacres will the peoples of this planet watch before removing all warmongers and dictators? I'm so tired of the killing...killing in the name of gods and holy books and high principles and father/motherlands. So sick of the blood and suffering.

1. Me, too. So very, very sick and tired.
What we all, the world, needs is a bigger enemy. Well, we have it and it is, indeed, us. Our little real estate squabbles pale in comparison to our destruction of our Home World. Tired of the Homeland rhetoric? Yep. We need to unite and fight for the Home World against ourselves. In a very short time, billions are gonna snuff it if we don't make some serious changes in our lifestyles. The people of Earth have a little time to change the situation. It CAN be done. IF, we get busy right now. Let us realize the threat to us all and then work TOGETHER to make this world SAFE.

That would be shiny, indeed.

2. I've Always Wondered...
How the concept of an 'after-life' has contributed to so much killing throughout history.

Don't know if you can have a 'major' religion without one, but you gotta wonder how history would be different if everybody thought that this life, the one you are living at the moment, is the only gift of consciousness a person receives.

From unconsciousness, one life, back to unconsciousness. That's it.

I wonder how humans would have treated each other through history, if that was the prevailing belief.
