George Bush is just whom he SAID he was.. a True Uniter
Edited on Sun Jul-30-06 06:29 PM by SoCalDem
This morning as I flipped from BBC to MSRNC to CNN, one of them showed a "riot" in Gaza that was supposed to show arab solidarity and to protest the carnage of last night..

Hezbollah flags flew right alongside Hamas banners.. We already know that he has actually solidified the Taliban's re-control in Afghanistan (apparently we are even back to "working" with them )

Has there ever been a US president who so effectively united so many disparate people? he "sold" himself as a yoo-naht-er, and he was right.. (Much to our dismay) :(

The thing that never ceases to amaze me is that his bull-in-a-china-shop demeanor is actually praised by our own media. His sec of state is little more than a highly-paid clotheshorse with fancy shoes..and who likes to play the piano and ice skate. he sends HER into the fray, instead of doing it himself, or even pretending to care.

If he's not careful (or is it his ultimate plan) there will be an all out war against Israel.

Mubarek is not all that strong, and the public sentiment is not exactly what he's been pushing. (there have been several assassination attempts)..

The young King Abdullah, has a large population of palestinians (his wife is a palestinian) and the relative trannquillity of Jordan could be trumped by geography..

Iraq ?? we got nuthin'

Afghanistan? (even though it's more sourth asian, than middle east)..no help there..

Lebanon? They have nothing more to lose. They lost two decades of hard work rebuilding, and lost the infrastructure that creates "civilized" living. Thousands have lost family memnbers, homes, jobs, ..everything..

Our European allies?? Most of them are pretty pissed at how he totally ignored the carnage and how badly he bungled Iraq & Afghanistan.. Lots of european countries have large populations of arabic people, and those countries do NOT want a backlash ..

The UK? Bush let their "poodle" out of the yard..(and claimed him as his own)

Repressed/oppresed people DO rise up. To lots of them it's a choice between being blown up while they take shelter or try to sleep...or perhaps being killed in acts of resistance.. Either way they are dead, but resistance is attractive to the young men.. and there are a TON of those in the middle east.. angry, frustrated, and wifeless...a recipe for disaster..

1. Oh he's a uniter alright, but what has he united?
Most Americans hate him.

Almost all other countries hate America.

The one single thing the Dems agree on is they want him GONE!

YEP, sure sounds like a uniter to me!

5. He's irrelevant
We're probably stuck with the Chimp for two more years.
Then he'll be gone, fattened by perhaps the least deserved presidential pension in history.
He may have the first pop up presidential library.
While his every act is to be resisted and criticized, the Battle is in the Congress.
Nothing matters other than the congressional fight in front of us. The only part the Chimp need play is millstone around the neck of GOP congressmen.
We have to get the sticky GOP off the congress.
That effectively shuts down the Chimp and his Civilian Corruption Corps by cutting off their money.
Nixon spouted about secret plans to get out of Viet Nam for 5 years and two elections.
But the only thing that actually stopped the carnage was congress cutting off the cash.
So if you want Iraq done, focus on the congress.

2. It's very sad.
I don't know what else to say but that I agree with you.

It's tragic what is being done in our name. Who's going to stop this madness?

By the way, I like your signature pic. Very funny. My guess is that those that voted for Bush (hell Bush himself) would fall for it. :-)

4. Dead center:
"His sec of state is little more than a highly-paid clotheshorse with fancy shoes..and who likes to play the piano and ice skate. he sends HER into the fray, instead of doing it himself, or even pretending to care."
