3. So when was Little Boots told about this plan?
They told him and let him memorize a few lines he could tag as his own "thoughts" and his yapping is making things worse--something you can always count on from him.

5. Why do you think it took him so long to say anything?
He still is most likely uninformed. Less chance of him accidentally telling the truth.

7. There are zero MSM reports on this...but it's all over a lot
of blogs. Al-Jazeerah reported it. Madsen claims its true (I know he's shaky). Larouche (shaky). And on all kinds of Islamic blogs. Kos is the most reputable one I've found.

9. Does Cheney not like Condi?
From the Kos article:

The Beaver Creek meeting was hosted by William Kristol's American Enterprise Institute, and they are now looking to derail any diplomatic solutions to the crisis in Lebanon. Their target is Condoleezza Rice.

Moonie Times affiliate, Insight, picks up the fight.

"Conservative national security allies of President Bush are in revolt against Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, saying that she is incompetent and has reversed the administration's national security and foreign policy agenda," reports Insight Magazine.

An earlier DU thread:

Shortly after taking office, Vice President Dick Cheney fought to take over one of the national security adviser's key duties, claims an unnamed ex-official in the June issue of Vanity Fair.

"At one point early in this Bush administration, a former official tells me, Cheney wanted to chair meetings of the National Security Council "principals"— the secretaries of state and defense, the C.I.A. director, and so on—in Bush’s absence, co-opting the usual role of the national security adviser, then Condoleezza Rice," writes Vanity Fair national editor Todd Purdum in an advance copy provided by the magazine to RAW STORY.

21. He's hiding in his bunker in WY
and taking day trips to do fundraisers.

This is a very active man for someone who is supposedly so sick. Sometime I think his 'bad heart' is a load of crap. He doesn't have a heart.

11. A very interesting article.

So, let's examine. Cheney predicts that Israel may unilaterally attack Iran and leave the international community to pick up the pieces. Israel unilaterally attacks Iran's proxy army on their border with Lebanon. They have no plan for victory and request an international peace keeping force. There is no prospect of an international peace keeping force going into Lebanon under current conditions. This leaves it up to America to step into the breach. To get an idea what kind of breach it is check out Anthony Shahid's heartbreaking dispatch from southern Lebanon.

Is this all going according to some plan?

The shift in official policy has thrilled former members of the cabal. To them, the war in Lebanon represents the final step in their plan to turn Iran into the next Iraq. Ledeen, writing in the National Review on July 13th, could hardly restrain himself. "Faster, please," he urged the White House, arguing that the war should now be taken over by the U.S. military and expanded across the entire region. "The only way we are going to win this war is to bring down those regimes in Tehran and Damascus, and they are not going to fall as a result of fighting between their terrorist proxies in Gaza and Lebanon on the one hand, and Israel on the other. Only the United States can accomplish it," he concluded. "There is no other way."

It's time to get serious now people. The Democrats are lining up to prove they are more pro-Israel than the neo-conservatives. This will only enable the neo-conservatives' plans for starting World War Three (their pre-packaged talking point for Israel's bombing campaign). Something must be done. Understanding what is happening is the starting point. Email this information to all your friends and family and then call your representatives. Tell them we don't want World War Three and we don't want to follow the Beaver Creek and American Enterprise Institute's crazed strategic vision. We want peace and reconciliation.

This is absolutely correct. IT IS TIME NOW TO GET SERIOUS! This is NOT about waiting for November. Even if we had the luxury of the time (which we do not), it appears that the Dems in Congress are, on this issue, no help. We need to act NOW!

Do you all remember when we all got together in a marathon of phone calls and faxes and actually managed to force some of our representatives to attempt a filibuster? They didn't succeed but it was a victory of sorts for us in that we, as a group, got together and actually changed their behavior and got them to try to do the right thing. We need to do this again, only on a MUCH larger scale. Maybe this would involve phone calls and faxes. Maybe it will involve marching, either in Washington or locally, or maybe it will be something new and completely novel.

We need do several things. We need to come up with a defined course of action that we want to see our government take. Then we need to find a way to FORCE them to take it. NOT by violence, NOT by property destruction, NOT by harming anybody or anything; but possibly by civil disobedience. We need large numbers of people acting in ways that are harmless but even so cannot be tolerated by the government. That means that once we have the plans in place we need to network and organize rapidly. We can do so by contacting progressive groups at meetup.com. We can perhaps use things like myspace and friendster to rapidly organize young people.

We could organize marches like in the 60s and 70s but I wonder if that will work anymore? What we need is something new. Something millions of people could do in their day to day lives that would quickly become intolerable to the corporations and their government benefactors. Ideally this would be something that people could do without seriously disrupting their lives (we'll have much greater cooperation that way) but that collectively will be overpowering.

Some kind of targeted boycotts come to mind. I personally don't put much faith in them but I'm open to new and novel ideas. Or maybe some sort of internet campaign. Or maybe a tax boycott.

I'm open to ideas here. Help me out people. What do we do and how do we do it... NOW.

(Please forgive the poorly thought out and poorly written stream of consciousness rant. Forgive it but don't ignore it.)

22. It's been in the works for a year, as reported by the SF Chronicle.

They were ALL in on it, unless you can believe something planned for A YEAR wasn't widely known by the whole Cabinet.

If you believe that, I have a Golden Gate Bridge I'd like to sell you.
