8. In the Seattle area the tree leaves are changing colors..

and the leaves are falling off as if it were fall....the berries are blooming three weeks early...

9. It's just a touch over 100 today

this used to be somewhat unusual. We've had 90's and 100's for the last 2 weeks. Also it used to snow and now we get one half hearted snow storm per year. Don't tell me something isn't wrong with the weather.

Here in eastern Iowa. 91 right now, and that's air temperature. Global warming? I don't know, it gets hot here every year. I just wish it would cool off.

Which of course is basically what we'll hear if there's a blizzard anywhere in the U.S. this winter -- clumsy sarcasm about "What global warming?" Or, "Boy, we sure could use some of that global warming now, huh?"
