the damage Bush has done that will be left to the next Democrat President |
|
I say "Democrat" President mostly in the hope that it will actually be a Democrat who wins the Presidency in 2008. But even if it were a moderate Republican, the shithouse mess that the next President will inherit from this group of drunk frat house party boys is mind boggling.
How do you take a day like 9/11, a day where people from all walks of life, (EVEN IN IRAN) gave support, comfort and sympathy..
and turn it on its head to the point where this President and his chucklehead team of misadvisors have created more hate and animosity for this country, the likes of which I haven't seen before????
That has got to be one of the most perverse accomplishments ever made in history.

but who's gonna stop them?
What does it take to get Americans in the streets?
Even if they are "in the streets", what does it matter to people like Bush? They couldn't give a rats ass.
We're talking "dictator" at that point. ANd if that is true, what then do the American people do? Shop? Go to the movies?
The American people have been "capitalized"....in other words depoliticized to the point where if it requires a sacrifice, forget about it.
They vote. And that's the extent of their political activism. Period.

7. Not to be contentious myself, but where's the argument you suggested? |
|
I agree with you, but we really have two choices: more of the same or a dem to clean up the mess. There's a mess no matter what.
As for your proposition of apathy of the citzenry, I'm at a loss. I don't know what it will take to "get the asses of the masses out in the street".

5. I have said this for some time now... |
|
And you are so right.
Let's assume it's a Democrat that wins the race in 2008. In January 2009 as soon as he (or she) lifts his (or her) hand from the bible, they will start. They will be relentless in their baseless criticisms, and they will do everything in their power to make this President's life miserable. This President will be blamed for everything, including everything that Bush has fucked up. If he or she makes one mistake, just one, they will pounce and try to impeach.
You would have to be nuts, I mean NUTS, to want to follow this idiot as President.
It's a lose/lose and they know it.
They need four years to count all the money they stole, so I don't think they really care if they lose or not.
We are truly fucked.

Like there will even be a democratic president ever again in my lifetime! They have not consolidated all of that executive power to give it to a democrat.

13. "Democrat," not "Democratic"? Thanks for using Repuke terminology... |
|
they LOVE to cheapen our party by making Democrat an adjective. It was part of N*wt Gingrich's master plan. I see it has worked.
