HOW MUCH evidence would you need to lift the veil of denial that you were governed by abusers? Its weird...there's knowing and then there's KNOWING, where ALL ILLUSIONS that you are dealing with any form of SANITY are removed.
Abusers abuse and then say they are 'sorry' and abuse again and again and again. They lie compulsively, but we still maintain this illusion that they might be telling the truth 'sometimes.'
It is crazy-making. It's as though we don't believe our eyes and ears. We don't trust ourselves even in the face of overwhelming evidence. We discount, minimize, deny and excuse the abuser...ahh, all politicians lie, etc.
No, actually, they don't. People like Kucinich, Conyers, Russ Feingold etc. are people of integrity and are a marked contrast to the weasel worded liars so prevalent otherwise.
There are 'personality types' that fit the abuser. The Socialized Psychopath or Sociopath are described in excruciating detail here:

The extreme version is complete decimation of people's families, homes, livlihoods, and countries, while insisting it 'Is For Their Own Good' (democracy, freedom). The claim is FALSE ON IT'S FACE.
Author Alice Miller wrote a book called 'For Your Own Good', identifying the roots of violence as the CRUELTY perpetrated on children who then go on to repeat the cycle when they grow up. The concept of 'For Your Own Good' is well entrenched in the collective psyche. Additionally, BLAMING the VICTIM is a favorite excuse abusers use, as we see the war criminals and their complicit media whores trying to excuse the wholesale devastation and slaughter they are executing.
All the evidence points to this whole operation being pre-planned waiting for an 'excuse' to execute it. They have mastered the art of PROVOCATION and DECEPTION ala Goebbels. I call it, Villianize, Pulverize, Rationalize, and Colonize.
This SMASHING of peoples and countries certainly triggers our fear and causes those of us who experienced abuse as children (who hasn't) to experience a re-traumitization. Grieving is the healing feeling. We must CRY and move on the righteous ANGER and confront these bullies. That is where our POWER lies.
Where did the courage of a MLK come from ? The man was like a shining light in the darkness of oppression. He spoke TRUTH, which RESONATED bodily with his followers. He was his SPIRIT. He had TRANSCENDED all concern for himself and found his HIGHER PURPOSE.
During this time of great crisis, there is an MLK...IN EACH OF US. The part of us where his SPIRIT still lives. It is the part of us that distinguishes us HUMAN BEINGS from animals. It is the part of us that is REPULSED PHYSICALLY by witnessing our fellow human beings being EXECUTED. It is the part of us that KNOWS INTRINSICALLY what is RIGHT. What is HUMAN. What is SACRED.
May we all find that MLK within. May we all join together as CITIZENS of the WORLD, not distinguished by RACE, RELIGION, or COUNTRY of RESIDENCE and SAY ENOUGH of THE KILLING. WE WANT PEACE. WE WANT BROTHERHOOD. WE WANT SHARING. WE WANT TO AID EACH OTHER, NOT BOMB EACH OTHER.
All military forces will be put to IMMEDIATE USE as HUMANITARIAN FORCES. Their SPIRITS will be LIFTED not DEGRADED. The forces that aided the TSUNAMI survivors said it was their MOST NOBLE MISSION.
We will APOLOGIZE and MAKE REPARATIONS to those we have harmed. We will put this country on a 12-step recovery plan and recognize we may have a limited time left on GAIA before she REJECTS US. We will recogize our precious existance on this tiny island in the universe and come to finally understand that all the mystics and religions speak in metaphor and are saying the same thing. The HOLY SPIRIT is WITHIN. Our HEAVEN and HELL are HERE and NOW.
We will SURRENDER to our HIGHER POWER, as we understand them. For those not there yet, we will encourage them and allow them their own pace of realization. We will HELP EACH OTHER. We will create a CIVILIZATION of BEING, where we recognize the HOLY in each of us.
WE WILL END FEAR AS A NATIONAL IDENTITY. We have nothing to lose. Until we live as SPIRITUAL BEINGS, we MAY AS WELL BE DEAD.
People will celebrate in the streets and get to know their neighbors again. We will REJOIN the WORLD COMMUNITY. Those misguided souls who have led us down this dark road, will be put in RECOVERY CENTERS and healed. THEY ARE SICK.
THAT is our NOBLE CAUSE. We will ALL LEAD TOGETHER.
