1. You know those liberties we now give up without a second thought? Haven't a lot of people died defending them? WTF?

2. If you haven't heard; the NSA is going into the data backup business. (Oh yeah there is this story that kind of went under the radar: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/techpolicy/2006-07-19-data-mining_x.htm ) The government now actually has a database capable of storing and searching 13 megabytes of data on every single American. This is either illegal or the Congress passed a sham law (making this illegal on the surface, but secretly legal in the classified defense department annex to the appropriations bill) to shut people like us up.
