I couldn't find the actual story on the website. But apparently it aired this weekend and they forgot to take delete it from their pre-show advertisement which was the only evidence I could find of it. I've noticed CBS has developed a habit of this.

SKY GRAFFITI: Some call it "sky-graffiti". Now scientists wonder if those fluffy jet contrails can accelerate global warming. CBS News Correspondent Anthony Mason examines the connection between aviation and global warming.

Short version is that although jets contribute only 3% of the pollution, it seems the pollution they produce has an out-of-proportion effect. After 9/11, when only 6 jets were in air, the jet trails covered 11,000 miles and the temperature (I assume they were talking about NYC) dropped 5 degrees. Overall, they believe jet trails have raised the planet's temperature about 1 degree.

No contrails led to increased mean ground temperatures due to less global dimming. Pollution actually offsets global warming in the worst possible way.
