The venom spewed against people who offer reasonable comments indicates the kind of people supporting Israel and to a large degree the kind of government ruling Israel I am sure there are many people inside Israel who oppose what their government is doing but who are powerless to stop them just as we are powerless to stop our own government. No one calling to support the Lebanese people even came close to suggesting that Israel be annihilated but several callers supporting Israel suggested that it was ok to kill Lebanese children, to annihilate Arabs by wiping out Mecca and Medina to keep them from growing up to be killers.

The Palestinian "charter" still calls for the destruction of Israel, Hezbollah sure isn't sitting on Israel's north border cause it likes the weather...it's sole purpose has been to destroy Israel as is the recent promise of their boss in Teheran. So you don't think there are people in the Arab world who don't want every Israeli (and Jew for that matter) dead? Think again.

Yes, there are right wingnuts in this country and in Israel who believe in a bomb 'em back into the stoneage, but I'd strongly suggest there's a far greater number of Arabs who believe the same about Israel. Neither is right and both are calling the shots here. Calling one side killers without recognizing the killers in your own tent is disengenuous.

Though I still fervently believe that the vast majority of both of those groups simply want to live their lives and be left alone. It is the extremists and the haves and have mores who stir this kind of shit up.
