Israel has WMD, nukes in violation of the NPT. Should we invade them? |
|

Should we threaten to invade?
How about just bombing their facilities?
Certainly it must be time to turn them over to the IAEA and the UN for these violations.
I say if they do not agree to disarm, we increase the pressure. Maybe a little talk of nuclear bunker busters would scare them into playing by the rules set for the rest of the world?
That is the Bush doctrine isn't it? Rogue nations with WMD in violation of international proliferation treaties MUST be confronted? Right?

1. ah, see, that depends on how you define 'Rogue' |
|
see, according to the Bush Doctrine, Israel is a-okay because they 'play ball' with BushCo and help to keep the pot stirred up so that the MIC has lots of orders for new weapons.
It's those pesky nations that don't 'play ball' and actually want sovereignty that are considered 'rogue' by BushCo. :nuke:
Venezuela is a prime example.

7. It shows that the Iranians have a point |
|
If you have nukes or there is even a suspicion of nukes, you're pretty safe from attack.

3. Uhm, you do know the rules, don't you? |

The only "rogue" nations are the ones run by scary brown men who speak that "yah-yah-yah" language.

5. This issue has come up many times |

Israel is not a signatory of the NPT. So, they can't be in violation of the treaty as they are not a member. Neither are India or Pakistan signatories.

doesn't this thread partner well with the current "I am on the left and claim to love peace" thread. Nothing like a dollop of irony with my morning coffee.

9. Answer: YES...Let me add this, |
|
I have always said Israel will eventually be destroyed by the US itself. We tend to do that, we build them up, help them out, then turn against them when we are done.
Examples: Saddam's Iraq, Taliban, Panama (Noriega), Chechnya, El Salvador, Osama and Co. when they fought the Soviets...etc.
Let's face it, I learned that nobody can fuck with Israel unless your name is Moses, Jesus, God...etc. or you are the United States of America.
