Doing next to nothing is hard work for Rice. Israel "complicated" things
with their mindless, indiscriminate slaughter

Rice: Qana deaths 'complicated' diplomatic push

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Monday that Israel's attack on a Lebanese village complicated her diplomatic push in the Middle East, acknowledging that there is "a lot of work to do" to bring about a lasting ceasefire.

"You have to get all the work done, you have to get it done urgently," Rice told reporters as she flew home after eight days of meetings in four countries and prepared to shift her focus to the UN in New York, where she'll work with the international community on resolutions to prod Israel and Lebanon to a ceasefire. 2. It is indeed a difficult job
When you're determined to bring about a ceasefire without involving all the parties who are shooting at each other, and you're determined not to hold one side accountable for anything it's done. I can't for the life of me understand why diplomacy wouldn't work under those conditions.

4. And to believe
there is a cadre of Americans pushing her to run for president. She has proven herself as a failure so I guess she would be an ideal gop candidate.

5. Could this be the end of Israel?
Could this be the beginning of the end? The U.S. and U.N. have been protecting Israel's existence, and now we have a strained military with less capability because of Iraq, and we have diplomatic skills that are pretty much useless. The world is not on our side anymore. And this latest conflict is quickly escalating into all-out war.

So where does it leave Israel? Surrounded by Arab countries who are getting stronger and stronger. Hezbollah has come into existence in just the last 24 years and is now gaining strength among the Lebanese because of the Israeli attacks. Iraq is going Shiite and will align with Iran, no doubt agains Israel's existence. Now Bush is selling arms to other Arab countries in the region!

All Israel's military actions are going to accomplish is to cause more hatred against them and more radicalization of Arabs against them. If the U.S. does not jump into the fray, what will become of it?
