Shouldn't they be?

About a hundred men, women and children dying every day in Iraq but there haven't been any demands for a cease fire emanating from the UN?

Iraqis been steady dying going on four years now and no call for a cease fire?

Why is that?

1. I wish there was a good answer, a reasonable answer I mean
a logical answer. Maybe because the fighting is between the USA and note an organized group?

Couldn't be because it is a USA war and we are the good guys, etc. I see the call for end the occupation now.

2. If the vote was in the Security Council, the US would veto it.

4. How would that do anything?
The UN is basically useless. Any resolution they come to is only enforced when it has the backing of the US global police force. How would the UN get the US to cease fire? Asking nicely? Economic sanctions? How would anything be enforced?

6. Well that means this "talk" at the UN of a cease fire is Americas idea
Otherwise it wouldn't be happening. Thats right isn't it?

This is just a USA sponsored Kabuki Dance at the UN.
