1. DU does not have control over the ads that Google serves up
The guys can filter out offensive ads though. You just need to tell them.

3. I tried Google ads on my site for about a day
And got really frustrated by all the right winger crap that showed up and dropped it. They've supposedly improved their filtering since I tried it so I may give it another go, but it's still a pain because you've got to manually set the filters and sometimes this involves decoding a really long URL to see who is really doing the advertising.

I think in general people don't understand what a trade off it is to accept advertising on your site, and how little control you usually have over what gets displayed. But there's the money thing, and even given all the donations, DU isn't exactly cheap to run.

4. Accept it as ironic humor
That's what I do. I mean, it's not like they'll get any click-throughs from DU (not many anyway).

5. Gee, I had forgotten people thought like that.
I just HAD to click on the link and saw a reference to Hillary in pants. AAAUUUGGGGHHHHH! Those people make me crazy.

When we were discussing possible items to make and sell at Pagan Faire, the topic of hair toys came up. One of my covenmates said hair toys would be good, as pretty much all witches have long hair. I was stunned, because it brought back memories of discussions on Christian message boards about how it is sinful for women to cut their hair or wear pants. It struck me funny that both witches and christian women are supposed to have long hair and wear long skirts.
