Retirement plan: Coal mining
My son started working in a coal mine recently. He's young, he doesn't want to go to school, and he enjoys the work. He's been complaining for a while about another new miner he works with who's "really slow." Today he came home and said that the other guy was about to be fired because "He's really slow and he falls down a lot." It turns out that the slow guy is 65. He apparently recently retired from another job and his retirement plan was to work in the coal mines.

I'm speechless.

1. Get him out of there.
I was born just down Pennsylvania 885 from the Consol 5-E portal, and my Dad was a UMWA lawyer (mostly arbitrations and worker's comp).

Get him out of there.
