I just saw V For Vendetta... |
|
Wow...After all the negative critics I finally decided to
watch V For Vendetta...
And I loved it!
It really looks like what is happening in the US.
Except the revolutionary movement...
Yep! The US is definitely going fascist.
I'm French-Canadian and I watch the US sinking into the abyss
and I feel powerless to change anything!
Please DUers,make that nightmare stop!!!

I have been thinking about it, enough people have said it was good for me to watch it. I wish we could make it stop here, I really do. I have never felt so powerless, in my youth I wouldn't have-now I depend on the monster for everything. My medical care, my money, pretty much my life. They own me.

you are receiving, hopefully, care and income from your fellow americans - people who, like me, would be happy to spend more on ensuring your ongoing health- and less on guns and bombs - and maybe a little happiness along the way.
Please don't think they own you. We all need help sometimes, and if someone is in need, that's what our tax money is for by god.
Take care
oh yeah - I plan on seeing the movie tomorrow too

instigated until the people took a stand....But it also showed how one person could make a difference...
I just saw it last week for the first time, and I saw the parallels with our current situation.....

As somehow I didn't go and se it earlier after it as released. Even so, I actually dreamed about V saying,"Remember, remember, the 11 of September..".. i only wish we had someone like V right about now..

6. Terrific film, wasn't it? |
|
If you can find a copy, read the 1988 comic book*, too. Great as the film was, it left out a lot!
*Sorry, I don't call them "graphic novels." They're comic books, dammit!

Good flick. It's got its flaws, but certainly not in the plot or the message.
