When will people learn?
You can't fight terrorism with bombs and bullets. It only creates an avenue for more recruiting.

The only way to win this is to change the minds of would be terrorists by showing them some respect by listening to their greivances and maybe try to help them a little.

But this is not what America is about today. It's about taking and using and abusing.

We reap what we sow.

I guess I will now be penned as an America hater because I can understand why people might want to harm us.

Well so be it.

1. Where have all the flowers gone?

Where have all the flowers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the flowers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the flowers gone?
Girls have picked them every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the young girls gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young girls gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young girls gone?
Taken husbands every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Covered with flowers every one
When will we ever learn?
When will we ever learn?

5. Blowin' in the wind
How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

2. I think Kerry was right when he said its a police issue.
war basically attacks and makes a million more enemies than you had before when its because of terrorism....Terrorists should be treated like organized crime.

3. Well, help terrorists into a jail cell maybe.
I'd get behind that.

6. Ummm....
If groups like Hezbollah want the destruction of Isreal why should Israel try to listen to their grievances?

11. I'm fairly sure that the bombing has destroyed things
in Lebanon that they had to lose.

And yet all that loss is still less important than getting prisoners released. Specifically a few Hezbollah prisoners; the demands have dropped from thousands to at least 3. The headliner, the big name, is Kuntar, whose acts are worth perusing.

He's a hero. He's worth 600 dead and all the devastation.

http://www.samirkuntar.org/aboutsamirenglish.html It says suspiciously little. In English. The Arabic-language version is rather different looking, and I suspect that it says something rather different.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samir_Kuntar Not always reliable, but it recounts the basic facts in a rather straightforward manner.

10. That is one opinion.
I show no respect for killers. No respect for those who kill olympic athletes, no respect for those who kill women and children on the bus.

No respect for those who kill muslims in yugoslavia and no respect for hesbolla. We took part in a war to prevent that killing. And we stopped the potential for a wider war.

Those peoples minds were changed by force. Talk does not change the minds of dedicated evil men.

Your opinion is valid. If it was only effective.

The fact that you are in america where we can respect each others opinion without government intervention does not make either one of us "america haters".

12. I've been wanting to post this to all the Lebanon threads
THIS is what we (and Israel) are accomplishing:

Yes, I know it's a game, but it illustrates the point very well.
