Amy Goodman on Hardball...Did you see the reception she got?
Did you see the response to Matthews' question about a ceasefire in Lebanon now? Crowd cheered for a ceasefire and was silent when he asked if anyone was against it.

2. Amy put him in his place just now
by letting him know that negotiation is the answer and will occur but the question is how many kids must die first.

3. Bringing up Donahue being fired for being anti-war-whoo hoooo!
Tweety tried to dispute that, but she has the memo!

5. that was definitely the highlight
these "public" shows are even worse than his studio ones, though, if that's possible.

tweety really didn't want to talk about Donahue getting the axe. I wonder if Amy will be axed back....

7. Ouch!!! That's exactly why Donahue was fired, BushCo wanted ZERO dissent
Edited on Mon Jul-31-06 06:53 PM by GreenTea
or anyone questioning or giving people other thoughts or ideas -- Donahue had the highest rated show on MSNBC!!!!

The power and control the WH/Rove have over their republican corporate media and only what they want us to see and hear.

4. Damn, Amy's on fire! She's really telling it like it is.
Not there to support either side but peace needs to be negotiated!

Put Matthews in his place. Good teevee!

6. Amy Goodman rocks
Edited on Mon Jul-31-06 06:52 PM by eleny
She even talked about Phil Donahue. Good for her. Doesn't matter how Tweety showed his bias. She got it out and also about how the media has to cover the peace movement. She was able to get it out that there was a peace demonstration in Israel. Thank you, Amy.

8. Damn ...
I stopped watching MSNBC ... trying to get a little more balance with "CNN" :eyes:

Anway, ... guess I'll watch the re-run this evening if the world hasn't ended by then.

9. what a RACIST!!!! he just did a "poll" of the audience, and immediately
after asking three or four kids from the same family if they were for Rudy or Hillary (RUDY!), he went RIGHT PAST two black kids! he'd asked every single person in the front line who they were for, and VERY CONSPICUOUSLY ignored them, polling the people right behind them, and on both sides!

they were the only black people I saw in the crowd

analyze this as you will: were they too young? same age as the kids he polled who were standing RIGHT next to them

I really couldn't believe how obvious this was

you have to check the rerun to appreciate it

12. he says that all the time, but his actions belie his words.
his support of the illegal regime is obvious, as is his spineless supplication before its minions

recall the "sunny nobility" comment, as well as so many others

I didn't think Goodman ever got invited to any of those shows. I bet she owned them.

13. I didn't see it but I'm sure tweety was out of his league.
Amy Goodman is a hard-working professional and not a mouthpiece like tweety.

14. The public favors a cease-fire
Yet, for some odd reason, as usual, public opinion has little or no influence on American leaders regarding Israel.
