France, Germany, Spain, Australia - protest Israeli attack on Lebanon
Asian Countries Condemn Israeli Attacks

Jakarta, Jul 31 (Prensa Latina) Asian countries, among them Indonesia, Japan and Afghanistan, condemned Israeli attacks on Qana, south Lebanon, Monday and urged the UN to intervene to stop these military attack.

Indonesia rejected the violations of international laws and recalled the Security Council to its duty to keep world peace and security, while urging a cease-fire and access to humanitarian
aid.

The Afghan Foreign Ministry condemned the military operation against civilians, voiced concern for the mounting crisis, and also urged a cease-fire. It said such action is a flagrant challenge to all international laws and civilized behavior, surpassing the brutal occupation of Palestinian and Arab lands, and is a crime against humanity.

Spain Slams Israel for Qana Bloodbath

Madrid, Jul 31 (Prensa Latina) The Spanish government and main political parties put their differences aside and joined to condemn the Israeli bombing of a refuge in the Lebanese city of Qana, where 57 civilians were killed, mostly children and women.

Spain promptly responded to the new Israeli attack and expressed its sorrow to the Lebanese government and relatives of the victims. In addition, Spain called once again for an immediate cease-fire.

Germany
Demonstrations against the current Israeli attack on south Lebanon and Gaza took place Saturday in a number of German cities, including Berlin, Cologne and Frankfurt. In Berlin, an
estimated 5,000 persons drawn mainly from Germany’s Arab communities demonstrated through the middle of the city.

France
Some 5,000 people marched through Paris Saturday to protest the destruction being wrought on the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples by Israel with the full backing of the United States.

The demonstration was organised by nationalist groups such as AFPS (the France Palestine Solidarity Association), the MSRPP (Movement in Support of the Resistance of the People of Palestine), the Collective of Muslims of France, and several Franco-Lebanese associations.

Australia
About 2,500 people demonstrated in Melbourne yesterday against the US-backed Israeli war against Lebanon in a rally and march from the State Library to Federation Square. Many in the crowd were families and young people, who arrived in groups from the nearby railway station, to show their opposition to the war drive.

Lebanese flags and homemade placards were held aloft, with slogans including “Israelis neo conquistadors!”, “Stop the genocide!” “No to unjust war,” “Free Palestine, Save Lebanon,”

“Stop killing my friends,” “Israel /USA how many families are you going to destroy today,”

“Why is the world blind?”
