when is a terrorist not a terrorist ?

Well, apparently, based on this evening's CBS Evening News, you're not a terrorist if you participated in the Oklahoma City bombing. During a brief segment about Tim McVeigh's accomplice Michael Fortier {sp ?) being released from prison, Bob Schieffer did not use the word "terror" or "terrorist" a single time. He only talked about the "attack" and the "bombing", but not the T-word.

Now, contrast this with the story that immediately preceded this, about 3 suspected "eco-terrorists" being held in Sacramento who were allegely planning on destroying a small dam that may have caused loss of life. Needless to say, the T-word was lavished heavily in this segment.

Not one mention of this guy being a terrorist. His sentence was because he failed to tell authorities about the OK city bombing being planned. I guess if you are of the home grown variety then it's just mischief. Saw the part about the dam bombers too.
