CBS, NBC spin Abramoff scandal toward Dems!

Tonight the spin machine was in full swing as Schieffer and Williams both spoke about Democrats in Congress while talking about the Abramoff lobby scandal.
On the evening news tonight, the anchors and interviewees spoke about "both parties are moving to legislate reform" and "Democrats are trying desperately to distance themselves from this scandal" - this spin is obviously Rovian in that it doesn't have to name any names - it just gives the general public the impression that Dems are as guilty of taking bribes from Abramoff as are Rethugs, which is simply an out and out lie.
WE and especially any Dem congress member must shout the truth from the rooftops, people! Dems need to repeat the following mantra over and over and over again in every possible arena: Abramoff is a REPUBLICAN SCANDAL. Abramoff donated exclusively to Republicans! We cannot let Rove muddy the Rethug corruption waters with floating references to Dems. No desperation on Dems parts, just the truth. ABRAMOFF IS A REPUBLICAN SCANDAL. ABRAMOFF DONATED EXCLUSIVELY TO REPUBLICANS. Name ONE DEMOCRAT who took ANYTHING FROM ABRAMOFF. And please, stick with that truth! Don't argue or deny, just repeat the phrase listed above until it becomes crystal clear. Let's be like Al Gore and speak the truth back in the face of their lies and let's DO IT NOW. Let's not wait while the general public absorbs and believes the lie that Dems are as guilty of corruption/Abramoff as Rethugs!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
... We shouldn't be calling it the "Abramoff Scandal" or anything else so uselessly neutral. We should constantly be referring to it -- accurately -- as the
"Republican Bribery Scandal" or the
"Republican Corruption Scandal." And we should use those phrases in sentences like
"This Republican Corruption Scandal looks to have uncovered the biggest, most widespread political corruption scheme in the history of the nation."If this terminology gets a complaint from the right, GREAT. Let's HAVE that discussion. Let's spend lots of air-time and editorial space explaining exactly WHY it is in fact a Republican Corruption Scandal.
