Had my latest Abramoff ltte published
Hope all DUers reply in kind to the idiots that keep trying to tie this scandal to the dems. We need to keep the "frame" in frame.

Abramoff scandal a Republican flap
In reply to Mary Shanks Guyton's letter of Jan. 11th, (Abramoff flap also involves Dems) wherein she asserts that Democrats were the recipients of money from Jack Abramoff and this scandal will possibly bring down more of them than Republicans, may I please refer her to the Federal Election Commission's website- www.fec.gov. There she will be able to find a listing of Abramoff's donations and she will not find a single Democrat who received monies directly from him. They did however receive money from various factions who also donated to Mr. Abramoff. This is not illegal. The Indian tribes who donated to him also donated to a lot of different politicians. This does not implicate them in any way in the scandal that is reverberating on Capitol Hill. Ms. Guyton is ignoring the fact that this is a purely Republican matter as the indictments and guilty pleas have shown.

The real question she and anyone who follows her logic needs to ask is, why would Abramoff donate money to the minority power in Congress who basically have no power and can not get a single bill passed? What would this influence buy?

Any politician who accepted money from Jack Abramoff to illegally influence their vote needs to go. At this point there are only Republicans. Please look at the facts not heresay.

12. I've come up w/ a subtle way
I never use the term President Bush. Will say the President or Mr. Bush but never use them together. Always like to throw in the requisite King George or Dubya, but keeping it civil has gotten a lot of my lttes published.
